7.30pm, Friday 5th June St Chad’s Church. A European Grand Tour Programme to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the birth of Dr Charles Burney. This programme of European music from Burney’s era (1726–1814) pays tribute to the Shropshire-born musician, composer, historian, and writer whose work shaped musical understanding across Europe. The concert is preceded at 6.30pm by a 30‑minute discussion on Burney’s life and legacy with Ex Cathedra’s director, Jeffrey Skidmore. Information and tickets here .
