Playhouse Theatre Company are back at The Adam Smith Theatre with The Addams Family Musical! Snap your fingers and step into the delightfully dark world of this brilliant musical comedy for all ages. Based on the characters created by Charles Addams, this Broadway hit brings everyone’s favourite creepy, kooky clan to life in a hilarious, heart warming tale of love, family, and embracing what makes us different. Wednesday Addams has grown up and she’s fallen for a perfectly “normal” boy. When their families meet for one fateful dinner, secrets spill, tensions rise, and chaos unfolds in ways only the Addams family could create. Packed with outrageous comedy, spectacular songs, and unforgettable characters from Gomez and Morticia to Uncle Fester and Lurch, this is spooky fun for the whole family. Playhouse Theatre Company performed at The Adam Smith Theatre last June with their electrifying production of Carrie The Musical! This June they’re back with another bold, high energy musical! The Happy Lands: Screening + Q&a With Cast And Crew

Art27 Scotland and UNISON Fife are proud to present The Happy Lands: General Strike Centenary Programme 2026, a series of three specially curated screenings commemorating 100 years since the UK General Strike of 1926. Set in the heart of Fife’s mining communities, this powerful, community-made film brings to life the resilience, solidarity and everyday struggles of the families involved in one of Britain’s most significant industrial disputes. Join us for the final event in the programme: an afternoon screening of The Happy Lands (2012), followed by a Q&A with the film’s cast and crew. The discussion will explore themes of community empowerment, grassroots storytelling, and the continued relevance of these histories today. Looking to the future, it will also consider how the lessons of 1926 can inform collective action in the face of ongoing social and economic inequality. This event is funded and supported by UNISON Fife Health Branch and OnFife. Curated and organised by Art27 Scotland in collaboration with Caireen Stuart.
