In this full day class you will enjoy a full Cookery Demonstration teaching you all about the ingredients, flavours and techniques to great Indian cookery and then get in the kitchens yourself to recreate what you have learned. What you make you take! Delicious. On the menu… Tandoori Chicken Tarka Daal Roasted Veg Curry Fluffy Basmati Rice N.B. Recipes may change due to availability of ingredients. All tuition, factsheets, recipes, ingredients, aprons and utensils are provided and you don’t even have to do the washing up! If you can bring takeaway boxes with you to try to reduce waste that’s great. If not boxes are provided!

This summer in Kirkcudbright Galleries, one of Scotland’s most important and best loved artists Samuel J. Peploe: COLOUR The Palette of S.J. Peploe Open  6 June – 4 October 2026 Over 60 paintings by this wonderful artist, who took such immense pleasure in the use of colour, who observed with such care and painted with such fluent talent,  will be gathered for Kirkcudbright Galleries 2026 Summer Exhibition,  entrance free. S.J. Peploe  (1871-1935),  celebrated worldwide as one of the leading Scottish Colourists,  was as skilled at portraits and landscapes as his much admired and hugely popular still life paintings. His use of colour was breath-taking.  His intense personal response to place,  to form, is clear in every painting. Like all great artists he absorbed from his peers and developed his own unique touch.  His life and work will be examined in this exceptional exhibition,  which brings together works from national collections and a great many from private collections never before seen in public. He is the grandson of the Scottish Colourist Samuel John Peploe (1871–1935), one of the most important figures in early 20th-century British painting. Guy Peploe is widely recognised as a leading authority on the Scottish Colourists. He has curated several exhibitions of S. J. Peploe’s work and has published several important monographs, drawing on privileged access to family archives and private collections. His writing and curatorial work have contributed significantly to the scholarship and public understanding of his grandfather’s legacy, placing S. J. Peploe firmly within the narrative of British and European modernism.
