About this event
When: Fridays 14:00-14:30 About the Event: Xiang Gong (Fragrant Chi Gong) is an easy form of chi gong that Margaret, the facilitator, learned when she lived in China for a year. It was very cold where Margaret lived and she felt that Xiang Gong helped her energy circulation and keeping warm. The people who taught Margaret, asked her to take health and happiness back to her country. Xiang Gong is a 20 minute sequence of 14 different arm movements, guided by a soundtrack (original from China). Margaret (and a few other experienced volunteers) will demonstrate the movements. It is suitable for all capabilities, it can be done sitting or standing. If the weather allows, we will do Xiang Gong in the garden, otherwise indoors. Room: Library/Garden Accessibility: Library is fully accessible. The Salisbury Centre’s kitchen door and toilet are now wheelchair accessible. The Garden can also be accessed by wheelchairs via a movable ramp via the Art Room Annex. Please let the organisers know in advance of any access requirements. Additionally, if relevant, please fill in this PEEP template and share it with the organisers. Booking and Cost: This is a drop-in event, meaning no booking is required. Attending this event is by donation. About Donations: Participation in this event is on a voluntary ‘by donation’ basis.
