About this event
Join us for a dementia-accessible film screening of Little Shop of Horrors – a relaxed and welcoming cinema experience designed with those living with dementia, their families, and carers in mind. Doors open at 12pm for tea, coffee and cake (available for a donation), with each film starting at 1pm. Enjoy classic favourites in a calm environment where the lights are slightly up, the volume is gentle, and you're free to move around or talk if needed. Each film will have an interval to provide a movement and comfort break. We will have additional staff and signage available to help you, and there is an accessible route into the studio. Everyone is welcome – whether you're living with dementia, caring for someone who is, or simply want to enjoy a classic film in a friendly, understanding space. To ensure a safe and comfortable visit, we kindly ask that anyone living with dementia is accompanied by a carer or companion for the duration of the event. Your support makes it possible for everyone to relax and enjoy the magic of the movies together. Chelmsford Theatre is fully committed to creating a fully inclusive Discover Programme. We ask that if you have any questions, or would like some additional support that you
