Join Tamworth Musical Theatre Company as we celebrate our Diamond Anniversary! This year marks 60 years of Tamworth Musical Theatre Company, and we'd love you to celebrate this incredible milestone with us. Our story began in February 1946, when the Tamworth Arts and Science Club was founded to promote and encourage the enjoyment of the arts and sciences. The club brought together a variety of specialist groups, including literature, art, music, history, science, and drama. From 1967 to 2017, we proudly performed as Tamworth Arts Club, before becoming Tamworth Musical Theatre Company in 2017. To celebrate our Diamond Anniversary, we're taking a journey through six decades of unforgettable musical theatre. Across three spectacular performances, we'll revisit cherished memories from productions throughout our history, brought to life by our live band, talented adult company, and incredible youth performers. Join us as we honour our past, celebrate our present, and look forward to an exciting future in a truly unforgettable anniversary concert. We can't wait to celebrate this special occasion with you! March 24th - Sept 7th Collect a trail map from Frankie Doodle Gifts, then set off on a gentle wander around the Village to spot the 20 colourful chickens tucked away in unexpected corners. Take your time, explore as you go, and see how many you can find. Once you’ve tracked down all 20 chickens, return your completed map and collect a small prize to celebrate finding them all! The Scarecrow Festival 26 12th October - 4th November Join us for the Village Scarecrow Festival, a fantastic event for the whole family! Local businesses compete by crafting their own unique scarecrows, and the judges choose their top picks. The competition is fierce, and this year promises to be no different. Who will be crowned Champion Scarecrow of 2025? Find out for yourself between October 11th and November 2rd! Late Night Shopping 5-8pm 4th December Join us for our Late Night Shopping Evening on Friday, December 5th, from 5 pm to 8 pm. Stroll among twinkling Christmas trees, explore our dedicated Christmas Shop, enjoy festive live music and fabulous artisan stalls. Plus, don’t miss a special appearance by Father Christmas himself—timing TBC! Gingerbread Anagram Hunt Throughout December It's the perfect time to explore the fairy woods and discover all eight Christmas Gingerbread Men! Jot down the letters you find and try to solve the Christmas-themed anagram. If you succeed, you can pick up a gold chocolate coin from Spotty Dotty Artisans or Frankie Doodle's Christmas Barn.
