Our “A Night of Song, Dance & Clarinet Magic” Concert! Get ready to tap your feet, sway in time, and, if the music moves you, step right up and dance along with the Cirrus Clarinet Quartet … a joyful concert of song‑inspired melodies and dance‑filled rhythms, to celebrate the fun of Ilkeston Festival. Cirrus Quartet is made up of four accomplished musicians: Kate Hawkins (Yes! Our Kate) – B clarinet Steve Milner – E, B and alto clarinets (though not all at the same time!) Adam Blakey – B clarinet Phil Smith – Bass clarinet They say: “Our ensemble takes its name from one of the first pieces we performed together, Blue Skies, symbolising our passion for creating uplifting and harmonious music. We are a group of dedicated amateur musicians, each playing a combination of clarinets — E flat, B flat, Alto, and Bass — allowing us to explore a rich and diverse range of musical styles.” The quartet will delight you with a wonderfully varied programme, encompassing traditional music alongside modern and klezmer influences, celebrating the rich colours and expressive range of the clarinet family. Blackberry Smoke has evolved from rough-edged club act to arena-ready rock 'n' roll juggernauts, whilesteadily extending and expanding the Southern rock tradition. Since the group’s formation in 2000, theband has never shied away from hard work, playing more than 250 shows a year and building an ever-expanding audience on the strength of its live shows. Bowie By Candlelight

19:30 We are delighted to bring you Bowie by Candlelight, featuring ‘David Live’ The David Bowie Tribute Show. An incredible night of Bowie anthems including Let’s Dance, Starman, Life on Mars, Rebel Rebel and more, performed live, by candlelight. David Live is one of the best tributes to any artist you will ever see – a respectful and charming homage, attracting praise from all corners of the Bowie community. Chris Evans (BBC Radio 2) remarked, “THEY WERE FANTASTIC!” and Lord March, who had the band play at his renowned Goodwood Revival Party when the real David Bowie had to decline, exclaimed, “IT’S DAVID BOWIE!” The band has performed for the BBC, for the Cambridge May Ball and for Lord and Lady Gerald Fitzalan-Howard at the wedding of their daughter, Florence. We recently had the honour of playing at The David Bowie World Fan Convention in Liverpool. David Live was formed nearly 20 years ago and is considered the favourite amongst true Bowie fans. Between the hit singles, the band squeeze in really deep album cuts and rarer live versions for the Bowie faithful.
