Mayfield Hub Club is a new weekly term time club providing activities and social learning experiences for young people in Torquay who have Autism Spectrum Conditions (which may or may not be diagnosed). It is a place to be with friends, a place to play outdoors, a place to make music with support from music leaders and a place to chill and chat. Each week there are different opportunities including creating crafts to take home and making delicious food to eat! It is free to book but booking is essential. A special community screening: The People’s Emergency Briefing #PEBuk What’s happening with climate and nature, and what does it mean for everyday life in the UK? Join us for a screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing - an eye-opening 50-minute film bringing together nine leading UK scientists and experts with the latest evidence and why it matters for things like: Extreme weather Food security Health Cost of living The film is based on the National Emergency Briefing in Westminster (featured by ITV, Channel 4 and The Times) with appearances from Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden, and a range of voices from across the UK. The film is being screened in venues accross the UK as shown on this MAP After the film there will be an open discussion about what it means for our community and what we can do locally. Bring a friend, neighbour or family member: everyone is welcome. Suitable for ages 16+ Tickets are priced at £5.00 (plus booking fee) or "pay what you can afford" from £1 up. As Paradiso is committed to enabling films about the environment to be shown proceeds will be split between covering costs and supporting a local environmental organisation. Step into a grounded, heart-opening space where rhythm becomes a tool for connection, healing, and personal expression. This Sacred Drumming Workshop invites participants to explore the ancient practice of collective drumming, using sound and vibration to restore balance, calm the mind, and cultivate a sense of belonging. Guided by an experienced facilitator, the session blends gentle ritual, intentional rhythm, breath, and mindfulness. Participants will learn simple drumming patterns, explore improvisation in a supportive circle, and experience how shared rhythm can deepen awareness, relieve stress, and reconnect us with ourselves and each other. No musical experience is required — just a willingness to listen, play, and be present. Drums and percussion instruments will be provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own if you have one
