Saturday Craft Fair — Festival Finale

A joyful celebration of creativity, community and all things handmade The final day of the Ilkeston Festival deserves something special so we’re ending the week with a glorious burst of colour, craft and community spirit! Our Saturday Craft Fair is a warm, bustling, laughter‑filled time where makers, artists and neighbours come together to celebrate creativity in all its forms. And yes… entry is completely free. Step inside and you’ll find tables full of beautiful handmade treasures created by a talented bunch of local crafters and artists, each with their own style, story and spark. From textiles to jewellery, artwork to home décor, there’s always something unexpected, something delightful and something you’ll definitely want to take home. A fair where people stay … and stay … and stay! There’s a special kind of magic at our fairs. The kind where you say goodbye to a regular (who “must go now”), only to spot her an hour later still happily chatting away to everyone in the room. That’s the atmosphere … warm, friendly, unhurried and full of connection. Tea, cake and cheerful chatter It wouldn’t be an Our Crafty Place fair without tea, cake and plenty of conversation.

Summer Holiday Fundraiser Craft Day for All Ages

Come and join us for a truly meaningful day of creativity. This summer, Kate is raising money for Blood Cancer UK — Crafting in Memory of her lovely Dad — and we’d love you to be part of it. Kate’s Story “We are fundraising for Blood Cancer UK in loving memory of my dad, who sadly lost his battle with Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. His strength, courage, and kindness continue to inspire me every day, and this fundraiser is my way of honouring his memory while helping others affected by blood cancer. At Our Crafty Place, we believe that creativity brings people together. We wanted to use our welcoming craft community to support an important cause, so we’re inviting people to come along, enjoy a creative activity, spend time with others, and help raise money for Blood Cancer UK. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help fund vital research, improve treatments, and provide support for people and families facing blood cancer. Thank you so much for your generosity and for helping us remember Dad in such a meaningful way.” Crafting for a Cause We’ll have four fun, simple crafting stations set up throughout the day … perfect for families, friends and anyone looking for a relaxed creative break during the summer holidays.
