Green Skills Session

This session is designed for newer riders who are developing the fundamental skills required to ride trails safely, confidently, and with control. Through a combination of fun games, engaging activities, and progressive coaching exercises, riders will build confidence on their bikes whilst learning the core techniques that form the foundation of mountain biking. Sessions take place in a supportive environment where riders are encouraged to progress at their own pace and develop good riding habits from the outset. The session focuses on developing key riding skills, balance, and bike control, helping riders become more comfortable on a variety of terrain and trail features. Riders will learn how to: ● Ride with level pedals and maintain a strong, neutral riding position ● Stand whilst riding and move confidently on the bike ● Look ahead and plan their route effectively ● Start and stop safely and under control ● Use their brakes effectively and confidently ● Corner smoothly without putting a foot down ● Navigate simple trail features and obstacles ● Develop balance, coordination, and overall bike handling skills Sessions are designed to be enjoyable, challenging, and confidence building, allowing riders to practise skills through a variety of activities and trail based exercises. As riders progress, they will begin to refine these core techniques, developing greater control, flow, and efficiency on varied terrain.

SUMMER PARTY- Blue Advanced Skills Session

Join us for our final session of the Summer Holidays — a special Advanced Riders Party Session exclusively for Blue Advanced and above riders. Expect an afternoon packed with music, fun competitions, prizes and plenty of riding! This session is all about celebrating an amazing summer of riding with friends whilst testing your skills in a relaxed and fun environment. Long Jump Competition Accuracy and Skills Challenges Timed Sections and Mini Races Prizes and Awards Session Challenges Set by the Coaches Riders will have the opportunity to put their skills to the test across a variety of fun competitions, including our popular long jump challenge , as well as technical skills contests and friendly head-to-head challenges. The focus is on having fun, building confidence and enjoying the trails, while encouraging riders to challenge themselves in a safe and supportive environment. This session is strictly for Blue ability riders who are able to cycle a minimum of 6 miles with a good level of fitness. Sessions will regularly involve longer off site trail rides, and it is important that your child is comfortable with this distance. Ensuring riders meet this requirement helps keep the group together and makes the ride far more enjoyable for everyone. These sessions are designed for riders who have already secured strong basic bike skills and are ready to progress further.
