Similar to Ignite we follow a book of the Bible, or series on a theme, to understand the passage and work out how this applies practically for our lives today. Our aim is that, as young people move out of youth into adulthood that they will be confident studying the bible on their own, and even able to lead others.

Band of Brothers meets at 7.30pm each Tuesday evening in Cheyne Lane and is a Men's group aimed at supporting and encouraging guys who have experienced, or are experiencing, tough times in their lives. There is time to share and draw alongside one another together with the opportunity to worship, hear powerful testimonies and consider what God's word has to say to us.

Energise: Staying Strong Together- Creche and Pebbles Leader Training

Serving in a church toddler group is a joy! But we all know it can be tiring, messy, and, at times, a real stretch too. In this training evening we'll explore how "Staying Strong Together" as a toddler group team will help you keep that joy no matter how crazy the role is. Let us give you practical tools and strategies that will help you grow in unity, encouragement, and resilience as you serve families together week by week. What to expect: Biblical Examples. We will launch the session by opening scripture and gleaning wisdom from the ministry teams who serve together and will reflect on how to keep pointing one another to Jesus, the source of our unity and strength, so that our care for others flows from Him rather than from our own reserves. Practical tips. We'll unpack strategies like showing appreciation, sharing the load, handling challenges graciously, and creating a culture where every team member feels valued and supported, not just in theory, but practically applied simply and easily. Real examples. We'll share stories of some of these strategies in action. Your whole team will be encouraged that simple small changes make a big difference, and will hear stories that make you think "that could happen here too". Rich conversations. You'll have two different opportunities to chat as a team (or with others you don't yet know if you'd rather) where you can begin to apply all of this to your own context.

Life Skills

Life can be challenging when living on a low income and with gas, electricity, water, council tax and food all getting increasingly expensive it isn't getting any easier. Low income affects what we can or can't afford, what we eat, our relationships, our health and wellbeing and much more. On the Life Skills course you'll learn how to manage your money, eat healthily, manage energy bills, and improve your relationships with others. The course is free and delivered over eight sessions on Wednesday mornings. Members are encouraged to contribute and talk about their own experiences. The environment is designed to be non-threatening with an appropriate degree of confidentiality. Each session ends with a cooked lunch.

St George's Kids & Pathfinders

St George's Kids meets at 09.15am and 11am on Sunday mornings except for the first Sunday of the month which is an All-Age Family Service in church. Our weekly teaching session is full of Bible based games, activities, craft, teaching times, and prayer at St George's Church Place. There are groups catering for all ages from babies to 11 year olds (school year 6). We offer a 'quiet space provision' within the main Groundbreakers room which can be accessed by children for a short period if they need some quiet space/time out. — Rock Solid is for kids in school Years 5+6. This lively group explores the challenges of being a Christian in today's world as well as the values taught by Jesus. It also links the teachings in the Old Testament to the work of Jesus and His disciples. — Groundbreakers is for kids in school years Reception – year 4. Here we explore the life and ministry of Jesus, and what He asks of us as His disciples as well as key moments and stories from the Old Testamant. — Gems and Pebbles are our creche groups for 0-3 year olds (Pre schoolers). Staffed by experienced leaders and helpers, children enjoy play/activities whilst parents attend the service in Church or parents sitting in can watch a live stream of the service from the creche itself. — Pathfinders - Our Sunday morning youth provision during the 9.15am service.
