Summer Rendezvous 2026 - Volunteers

Summer Rendezvous is a holiday at home for over 60's. Friday & Saturday- the mornings offer table-tennis, free massage, arts + crafts, games and a delicious lunch with bible 'thoughts for the day'. During the afternoons we will be enjoying a film, music and dance. Sunday will begin with a Rendezvous themed church service (10am), followed by lunch and then an afternoon trip to the local croquet club (you can either play croquet or simply enjoy relaxing!) We need volunteers to help and make it all happen! This year one of the reasons for the holiday happening over Friday to Saturday is to make it easier for working people in the church family to help out. So if you haven't considered volunteering previously maybe 2026 could be your year!  There are all sorts of ways you can help: people to help set up (Thursday 20th) and clear up (late afternoon/early evening Sunday 23rd), people to pray, helpers for the various activities, transport, catering team etc. Please submit this form by Sunday 21st June to aid our planning and so that we have enough time for any DBS checks to take place. Please note that all volunteers will need to undertake a DBS check and Diocesan Safeguarding Training (unless you already have a valid Emmanuel DBS check and in-date training). The Safeguarding Training involves two online courses- Basic Awareness and Foundation. The details of how to complete these will be sent to you when you sign up.
