Get ready for an unforgettable day out - take a look at what you can expect to see and do and who you can meet! Memorabilia and Displays Are these the droids you're looking for? And is it really bigger on the inside? Discover the infinite possibilities of Sci-Fi through film props and set design, with iconic memorabilia from your favourite Sci-Fi franchises including Star Wars, Dr Who, Star Trek and more! Here are some examples of props we've seen at previous Sci-Fi Day events. Though we can't make guarantees, expect similar props this year, plus new ones to make sure there's always something new to see! Wartime Britain 2026

Saturday 9 - Sunday 10 May 2026 Mark your calendar for our annual re-enactment and living history event Wartime Britain on 9 - 10 May 2026! This weekend always promises to be an amazing day out exploring the equipment, military life and home front culture experienced by many during World War II. Every year we add something bigger and better, with more re-enactment groups and exciting performances. REME Museum Extravaganza 2026

Saturday 27 June 2026 Mark your calendars for the REME Museum Extravaganza, in celebration of Armed Forces Day 2026! This fun-filled open day is a celebration of everything that it means to be part of the REME Family. The event takes place throughout the entire museum grounds, including the galleries, Education Suite, outdoor spaces and gardens and of course Crown’s Café! Expect even bigger and better things this year, as we combine a Summer Fete with Armed Forces Day, for an exciting day out for all the family with loads to get involved in! Model Show 2026

Saturday 10 October 2026 Mark your calendar for our annual 'Military and Transport' themed Model Show filled with incredible model-making talent guaranteed to appeal to all. This is a family friendly event, for enthusiasts and anyone with passing interest alike!
