Heritage Talk - The History and Archaeology of Brean Down

Join us for our FREE monthly Heritage Talk. This month’s talk is: ‘The History and Archaeology of Brean Down’, by Jane Hill – Heritage & Community Officer The talk will examine Brean Down’s rich, multi-period history spanning from Bronze Age settlements and a Romano-British temple to an Iron Age hillfort. It also has Palmerston Fort and served as a World War II battery, making it a significant military site.

Christmas Market Weekend 2026 Edition

Due to the INCREDIBLE popularity of last year’s Christmas Market Weekend, we’re so excited to announce that it continues for another year! We’re opening ours doors on both Saturday AND Sunday, to double the amount of gift ideas and double the amount of fun! With our wide and wonderful range of local stallholders and businesses, we’re sure you’ll find something for everyone. Clara’s Café will have its usual tempting treats, alongside some seasonal specialities! Our Christmas children’s trail will have you hunting through the galleries to find Santa’s missing reindeer, quick before he needs to leave! Available from the Front Desk for 50p each. Entry to the Christmas Market Weekend is FREE, FREE, FREE! We also have a visit from Santa! He’ll be visiting us between 10:30am – 12:30pm and 1:30pm – 3:30pm (Saturday and Sunday) for photos and a Christmas natter.
