Upcoming events at The Way

Art

Watercolours, gouache, oils, pen and pencil, poetry – whatever your thing is – ART provides space and mutual encouragement plus friendship. We welcome anyone who already has an interest, or who would like to learn. We will try and introduce inspiration each week and help you develop and express creative abilities. Our aim is not only to encourage appreciation of the world, but to introduce you to the God who made it. We meet during school term times at the rear of The Way Coffee House on a Tuesday from 10 till 12.

Game On

Game On! is for anyone who likes playing board games and meeting with friends old and new while enjoying a selection of drinks and snacks from The Way Coffee House. A selection of games are provided and you are welcome to bring your own. Game On! takes place on the first Wednesday evening of every month at 7.30pm.

If you are 60+ we would love you to join us at Connect@ChristChurch! We are a lively group who meet on Thursday mornings during term time from 10:30-11:45am. You can be sure that you will be made very welcome. We really enjoy spending time with one another and especially like getting to know new friends who come along. Our times together are varied from week to week. We regularly have 'Learn Together' mornings when guest speakers give interesting presentations. Other weeks we hold our 'Relax Together' sessions when we enjoy a variety of games and activities while, of course, having lots of good conversations with each other. From time to time, we have a 'Discuss Together' sessions, which is when we share our thoughts and beliefs in small groups. And last, but by no means least, we love our opportunities to 'Eat Together', holding parties and special events, including outings, throughout the year. Each time we meet, we share from the Bible for a few minutes and think about its relevance to our lives. We follow this with some light refreshments as we continue to chat together. Come and relax with Pauline and friends as they share their skills – knitting, crochet, cross-stitch or nattering! The group meets between 9.30 and 11.30am during term time on Friday mornings. Looking to start a new hobby, or learn a new skill? Want to pick up the stitches you dropped years ago? Just want some company? You can start something new or complete an article you are already working on. We have patterns, knitting needles, crochet hooks, wool, aida and silks available to get you started. We have refreshments during the morning – and a stimulating talk from the Bible.
