Belton Acorns

Bring your little ones (under 5s) to our Belton Acorns sessions! Enjoy learning about the beauty of Belton by engaging in crafts, play, song, and outdoor fun. There will be a varied programme of activities to get involved with. Sessions will be based around the seasons and highlight elements of Belton that shine. Sessions will take place on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month. Duration: 45 minutes. No pre-booking required. You can sign up for the sessions when you arrive at Visitor Reception on the day.

Belton's Literary Festival

Belton's first Literary Festival will celebrate the amazing collection of books in Belton’s care with a fantastic series of themed events! Festival displays: Grantham Arts House Installation - A display of artworks inspired by a selection of the books in Belton’s collection and created by the talented local artists at Grantham Arts, in collaboration with University of East Anglia and supported by funding from the Arts and Humanities Research Council (Please note that on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, our Conservation and Care days, not all house artworks will be available on the visitor route.) A Story of the Seasons - Pages from A Story of the Seasons, with stunning illustrations by Carolina Rabei, on display in large format along the East Lawn in the gardens. Conservation and Care

Every Tuesday and Wednesday in term time, when some of the house is closed for conservation and rest, around 25% of the mansion's rooms will be open, with a special exhibition to explore. Discover the various risks to the collection and the ways in which our expert team work to counter them. You'll also be able to handle some of the specialist tools we use to care for our objects and see real specimens of the pests we face too. Last entry is at 3pm.

Adventure Cinema: Dirty Dancing (12)

Nobody puts baby in the corner! An amazing outdoor cinema experience at Belton Estate with a showing of the classic Dirty Dancing. Pack a picnic, bring a blanket or camping chair and enjoy the 80s classic on a huge open-air screen under the stars. Get ready for an unforgettable night of music, romance, and legendary dance moves. Plus music to enjoy before the movie with a soundtrack of specially curated songs. Gates open 6pm, film starts 7.30pm. Experience the magic of the UK’s No.1 outdoor cinema shows! *Please note that our shows sell quickly. Advance booking is highly recommended. Hot food, snacks and a bar will be available on-site. Picnics welcome - NO glass. Alcohol must be purchased on-site only. Film certificate 12 Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. The event will go ahead if it's raining but we are hoping for a nice dry weekend. No seating provided unless you have premium tickets. Blankets and camping chairs are allowed. On-site toilets will be available including accessible facilities. With the exception of registered assistance dogs, no animals are allowed at any of our events. Strictly no smoking is permitted anywhere within the grounds of Belton Estate. If you wish to smoke, you will need to leave the premises.
