Prayer Connect (Church Prayer Room)

A prayer group who faithfully meet each Friday morning, to pray together and wait on God. All are welcome to come and join us! Aim is to: Connect with God. Why do we meet?: We meet because we want to know the Lord, to know Him, to be led by Him and to know His will for our lives and the church. What we do?: We seek the Lord and draw near to Him, in prayer, in praise, in song Psalm 100). We also spend time listening and in His goodness the Lord has drawn near to us. What is praying?: You could say it is two-way communication with God, whether in silence, in song, in speaking and in listening. God is able to communicate with us in a variety of ways. Who is it for?: It is for those who want to know the Lord more, and have a desire for God to transform the area, themselves and those they love. Do I have to pray out loud?: Not if you don't want to, just come as you are. Are there any key bible verses that the Lord has shared?: A couple, or favourites would have to be Hebrews 11:6(b) – Those who comes to God must believe He exists and that He rewards those who diligently seek Him. Another is Amos 5:4 – Seek me and live [says the Lord]. So do I have to have loads of faith to come along?: Whether you have a lot of faith or a little, come and join us. What have you got to lose? The Grace Course @ SJB

Join us for an 8 week bible course where we encounter the wonder of grace, and explore freedom and fruitfulness in Christ. The Grace Course is to help Christians recover their first love for God (see Revelation 2:4) so that we go on to love others and make a great impact on the world. Perfect for newer Christians or for those who became Christians many years ago, and everyone in between. It is a great follow up course for those who have completed the 321 Course. You can view a trailer for the course [here](https://vimeo.com/997729648?fl=pl&fe=sh). The sessions will run on Monday evenings (pausing when it is a Worship & Prayer Night, or a school holiday). Brews from 7pm, starting 7.15pm until 9pm. Please sign up so we can ensure enough resources for all. There is a suggested donation to attend the course, which covers part of the cost of the resource book all attendees will receive, and access to the course materials. However, we do not want cost to be a barrier to anyone attending the course so there is an option for a free ticket also. Session Dates & Themes Mon 14th Sept - Session 1: Free!
