All Age Worship @ Rievaulx

Join us on a Sunday Morning at 10:30 am  for our bi-weekly All Age Worship A fun-filled service suitable for all ages with varying activities including worship, talks and childrens crafts. These services are especially suitable for those attending with children but everyone is very welcome. The services last for approximately an hour and is followed by a time of fellowship together over refreshments. Do check the worship plan, as we occasionally have special services in the Abbey.

Malton Free Fridge

A bit about Malton Community Fridge We are Helping to Prevent Food Waste We collect fresh, safely edible foods like baked goods, fruit and vegetables from local businesses and re-distribute what would otherwise go to landfill or waste disposal. We are open Monday, Wednesday and Saturday from 10am to 11.30am, though will close early if we run out of produce. Anyone can come to the fridge to get food free of charge, to provide nourishing meals for themselves and their families. Come and browse our selection of food, and then join us for a hot drink and conversation.

One Holy Week - Unpacking the Events of Holy Week throughout Lent, with the Chosen Videos

Journey with Jesus and his Disciples this Lent as we unpack the story of Holy Week. We gather weekly on  Monday evenings on 23rd Feb, 2nd March, 9th March, 16th March, 23rd March, 30th March – AND Tues 31st March and Wed 1st April. We invite you to join us either online, or in-person at Norton Trinity Methodist to watch an Episode of ‘the Chosen’ in the Fellowship Hall, between 7-8pm.  Limited parking is available in the church car park. If you are local, we also invite you to join us for the services in the remainder of Holy Week.

Kirkby Community Fridge

A bit about Kirkby Community Fridge Kirkby Community Fridge aims to reduce the amount of waste food from local businesses going to landfill and instead redistributes it to the local community. Open every Wednesday at Kirkby Methodist church from 9.30 – 10.30 We are open Wednesdays from 9:30am to 10:30am. The only rules for people taking food from the fridge is that is not sold on, and that it is used. Please do come round and see us on one of the mornings we are open and have a coffee with us.

Norton Free Fridge

A bit about Norton Community Fridge We would hope that anyone who is struggling financially would take advantage of this free food. Equally if people take food and are in a position to give a donation that is OK too. We have been supported in setting up by Norton Town Council and Yorkshire Housing Association. We have also received charitable donations from The Rotary Club and The Lions Club.  We are not for profit, any donations go towards our running expenses. We offer tea, coffee and biscuits to anyone using the fridge, as well as a warm friendly space. We are open Tuesday and Friday from 10am to Noon, though will close early if we run out of produce. The only rules for people taking food from the fridge is that is not sold on, and that it is used. Please do come round and see us on one of the mornings we are open and have a coffee with us.

Soup and a Pud @ Pickering

Join Us For Soup and a Pud at Pickering Methodist Church on a Thursday Lunchtime. “Soup and a Pud” every Thursday from 12 noon (serving till 12.25 pm) in the Community Centre at Pickering Methodist Church. A home made soup and home made pudding, cooked by our own volunteers.  Join us down the alleyway to the left of Pickering Methodist church, and our side entrance. A friendly warm space open to everyone. This is a free event but donations towards the costs gratefully received.

Community Lunch @ Kirkbymoorside Methodist

Join Us on A Thursday Lunchtime for Our Community Lunch 12:30-2:00pm The Community Luncheon Club works with Ryedale Community Foodbank, Ryedale Carers, Next Steps and Churches Together in Kirkbymoorside. It provides not only a hot meal but also a warm safe space and an opportunity to get to know some new friends. All are welcome. If you are willing and wish to help on an occasional basis, that would be gratefully appreciated.
