Pattison College: Encore! Broadway and Beyond

Pattison proudly presents Encore! Broadway and Beyond, our summer show for 2026, celebrating over 100 years of dance and vocational training in Coventry. Based on songs from Broadway to the West End, Pattison performers will be bringing the magic of musical theatre to the Albany stage. The show will feature a stunning array of performances that are sure to have the audience singing and clapping along. Expect music from sensational Broadway productions such as Frozen: The Musical, Hamilton and Thoroughly Modern Millie as well as numbers from our beloved West End shows Sister Act, Mary Poppins and Matilda. Performances will be delivered by our rising dance stars, junior and senior groups from both the school and academy, and even our enthusiastic adult dancers. The matinee performance will include our youngest pupils-some of whom will be experiencing the theatre for the first time-delighting the audience with their joy and infectious enthusiasm. At Pattison, we are proud to train the next generation of passionate and skilled dancers, choreographers, and dance educators. Our fully qualified and experienced staff offer expert instruction in all aspects of dance, singing, and drama. Pattison has been nurturing young performers in Coventry for over 100 years, originally established as Pattison's Dancing Academy. We have long-standing connections with local theatres, and we are especially proud to support the Albany Theatre as the venue for our annual end-of-year production.

CVFolk Up Close and Acoustic with The Cannons

Up Close and Acoustic with Sean and James Cannon An evening of music, chat, stories and surprises presented by CVFolk Former member of The Dubliners, Sean Cannon has delighted audiences across the globe with his lilting tenor voice and his wry sense of humour. Born in Galway, and now for many years based in Coventry, he was a regular and popular performer equally at home in the world's biggest concert halls or the humble back-room folk sessions. Now in his 85th year, Sean still keeps up the annual European and UK tours with The Dublin Legends but hardly ever plays solo gigs on the folk club circuit these days. So this will be an extremely rare local appearance and special occasion for his fans and followers on home territory. Sean has frequently toured and recorded with his talented singer and guitarist son James Cannon, and they will be interviewed together by CVFolk's answer to Graham Norton, Bill Bates with chat and anecdotes plus a few songs and, hopefully, one or two surprise guest appearances. Sean still delights in sharing tales of the 'shenanigans he used to get up to' in the 60s, so expect an evening of warm memories, impish humour and glorious music from someone whose career has affirmed his legendary status in Irish music. The idea behind 'Up Close & Acoustic' is to create an insightful and interactive experience of music by revealing more of what inspires and motivates the musicians.
