BAPTISMS

What is Baptism? Baptisms are where we truly celebrate and give thanks to God! It's the day we publicly share our decision to give up our old patterns and follow Jesus. We die to our old lives, and just as Jesus rose from the dead, we symbolically rise with him into a new life. Forever free, forever redeemed. When are they taking place? Sunday 12th July - at both of our services at St Albans (9.30 and 11.30am). I'm thinking about it, what next? If you'd like to be baptised, or just interested in finding out more, sign up and choose a baptism preparation date. Am I able to be baptised? Baptism is for anyone who who wants to celebrate what Jesus has done for you and are ready to follow him forever more. Whether you made that decision today or years ago, it doesn't matter. Baptism is something that only happens once, so if you've not been baptised as an adult, you are welcome to join in. (Child baptism/Christening is different because unlike them, this is your personal decision.) Do I need to do a class? Yes - Baptisms are such a special experience and we want to ensure you can make the most out of it, and of course, find out what's involved on the day. Equally, you may just want to attend a class to find out more and make a decision following that. Classes take place at Verso St Albans. If you attend another site, we'll arrange for the Site Pastor to walk you through the same content at your local site. We're praying for you "For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism.
