A contemporary service for older children, young people and adults of every age. With modern music led by a live worship band and youth groups during and after the service. We share Communion each 3rd Sunday of the month. We offer prayer ministry after or during every service. During the main service we have groups for our young people Year 6 to Year 9 - Gather in the Youth Room on the 1st floor after the first block of worship in the service (disabled access for wheelchair users can be arranged via a lift), a comfy space for our young people to relax and be themselves Year 10 to 13 - Join in with the service, and then gather in the youth room afterwards for a time of led teaching and prayer until 8.45 Hot food and a selection of soft drinks are available to purchase from our Sunday Café after the service until 9pm. Parenting for Faith

Being a parent or carer is a sacred journey— and when it comes to nurturing faith, you're never alone. Parenting for Faith is a relaxed, practical 9-part course designed to help you spiritually encourage the children and teens in your life to develop a lasting, vibrant, two-way relationship with God. Whether you're navigating noisy dinner tables, quiet car rides, or late-night chats, this course empowers you to weave faith naturally into your everyday family life. It's not about having all the answers—it's about creating space for real conversations, modelling your faith authentically, and learning simple tools to help your children connect with God. This course is for everyone raising and shaping young lives—including single parents, grandparents and carers—offering a welcoming space to share, learn and grow together. The course will run monthly on Mondays from 15 September at St George's Church, with evenings pm and a delicious meal pm—making it a perfect 'date night' for couples or a warm retreat for anyone investing in their family's spiritual journey. Come as you are. No pressure, no perfect parenting required—just a heart willing to explore, grow, and bless the next generation. The course will run across the following dates, from September 2025 to July 2026 (with a break in December and April). We encourage you to attend all 9-sessions if you are able.

Contemplative Prayer

Contemplative Prayer has always been a part of Christian tradition. Jesus exemplified it through his intimate relationship with his Father especially when he took time away from the crowds in quiet and stillness, and throughout the ages, men and women have sought similarly to draw close to God through reflection and stillness. We have the opportunity to meet each third Monday of the month at St Giles' Church from 8pm - 9pm for a time of led Contemplative Prayer. This hour seeks to offer space within our everyday lives to reflect, receive and respond to God. We will use scripture, quotations, poetry, music and silence to help us to become still and to listen. Nothing is required or expected of you... just a desire to be present and to receive from God.

Evergreen are off to the Garden Centre

Plant smiles, grow laughter, harvest love! Hope you can join Evergreen for an afternoon visit to Haskins Garden Centre, Copthorne on Tuesday, 19 May. The coach will collect us from outside St George's Christian Centre, Barnett Wood Lane, Ashtead, at 1pm. Ashtead Community Choir

Ashtead Community Choir is a free lunchtime community choir for adults. Its members include: those working from home who would like a break from the desks during the day people who are retired or working part-time those who are in between jobs or not working for health reasons parents/carers seeking respite and relaxation away from their caring responsibilities The choir meets weekly on Wednesdays during term time from 1-1.45pm in St George's Church. The aim of the choir is to offer a relaxing and enjoyable experience of singing with others. There is no audition, members do not need to be able to read music, and performances are infrequent, low key and informal. The choir's repertoire includes inspirational and sacred music in styles such as gospel, jazz, pop, folk (from the British Isles and beyond) and light classical music – anything that will spark joy for a group of mixed ability singers! If you are interested in joining, you are welcome to come to a rehearsal to see whether it might be for you. Link Group

Link Group was formed in 1974 and is now expanding it's membership to include men as well. We meet on the 3rd Wednesday of the in St George's Hall. Link Group is the ideal conduit between the church and the community. We enjoy a monthly newsletter and visiting speakers who are informative, thought-provoking and entertaining. The afternoon ends with Tea biscuits and a chance to chat. There is a yearly outing to a place of interest and a summer social, including lunch. There are numerous fundraising opportunities which support a different charity each year.
