Intensive Swimming Lessons: Swinton

It’s been proven that children learn faster and more effectively when they engage in intensive practice sessions. Enrolling your child in our intensive swimming lessons is a great way to help them improve their swimming abilities and build confidence in the water. Lessons are taught by our dedicated swimming instructors at our swimming pools across the city. Sessions will run for 1 hour on the following dates at Swinton & Pendlebury Leisure Centre: Date Time Stage suitable Wednesday 5th August 9:00 – 10:00am Stage 1 Thursday 6th August 9:00 – 10:00am Stage 2 Friday 7th August 9:00 – 10:00am Stage 3 Suitable for ages 4 and over. Animal Show

The Cacophony Chaos! The residents of Naturetown have been making a lot of noise recently. With everyone playing to their own beat, Naturetown’s orchestra was in discombobulated chaos. Ferb the Gerbil has come up with an excellent idea to bring everyone together in a harmony of sound…Each animal has its own unique sound, just like different instruments in a band. On their own, they might sound messy… but when they listen and play together, they create something amazing. As we read, we clap, tap, and move using body percussion to make music and help tell our tale. Suitable for ages 4 + years. £5 per child, booking required.

The Royal Life Saving Society UK’s (RLSS UK) NPLQ is the most awarded lifeguard qualification in the UK and Ireland and is also internationally recognised. It can be a stepping stone to a career in the leisure industry and more than 46,000 pool lifeguards qualify with the RLSS UK course every year. There are currently more than 90,000 pool lifeguards qualified in the NPLQ – 95% of all UK pool lifeguards. Cost £260 per person. Date | Time Monday 10th – Saturday 15th August 2026 , 8.30am to 5.30pm. Location Broughton Leisure Centre – Great Cheetham Street West, Salford, M7 2DN.
