We check the usual frankly silly number of local websites, then look for events that feel rainy-day friendly: cinemas, theatres, talks, workshops, galleries, concerts, cosy venues, and anything less likely to involve standing in a muddy field making brave weather noises.

9Winter - the service is at 4.00 pm Summer - the service is at 5.00 pm The very popular and evocative BCP Evensong has returned. It now happens on the 2nd Sunday of every month. It includes a choir and is a lovely way to celebrate and pray in the evening for the week ahead. It uses the beautifully crafted and poetic traditional language of the Book of Common Prayer which reaches the parts other prayer books cannot reach.
On the second Sunday of every month we have Cafe Church. We start at 10am with tea, coffee and breakfast and then we sit around tables in church for a time of singing, discussion, a talk and activities (for children and for adults).
