Featuring the Capital City Jazz Orchestra and Soprano Claire Watkins Join the Cardiff Ardwyn Singers for a performance of Duke Ellington’s Sacred Concert - a striking mix of jazz, gospel and choral music. Featuring the Capital City Jazz Orchestra and soprano Claire Watkins, this concert brings together the energy of big band jazz with the power and scale of a full choir in one of Ellington’s most celebrated works.
8Our main Sunday service is at 10.30am – at St John’s there is joyful music, traditional hymns, incense, a procession, and a stimulating sermon. It lasts about an hour and is followed by refreshments, and occasionally, by lunch. You are welcome in good times, tough times, festivals or any time at all.
