What's on in Lympsham

Somerset, England

No stadium concerts here, just the good local stuff: markets, meetups, and events where you'll probably bump into someone you know. Classic Lympsham. Quiz nights, coffee mornings, craft fairs, book clubs, film screenings — the sort of calendar that makes somewhere feel properly local. Village halls with heating that works on a good day. Community centres that smell faintly of old carpet and possibility. Pubs hosting quizzes and open mics and talks about things you didn't know existed. We've found it all and put it in one place, because life's too short to check seventeen different websites every week.

Arty Artefacts - Home Educators Monthly Sessions

Welcome to the Early Summer Season of Arty Artefacts – Home Educators Monthly Sessions! Each month, we will take part in a variety of different hands on and creative activities inspired by historical art and design or linking to items from the collections. Monthly sessions will be organised in pairs and the Early Summer season will focus on nature inspired art, with leaves and flowers galore! Children will explore a variety of examples of 2D and 3D art inspired by or incorporating natural elements, with lots of natural examples to study and touch. We will use these as inspiration for some creative responses, such as nature weaving or leaf printing. In our second session, we will focus in on aspects that were of most interest to the children in the first session, so the main elements will be as child led as possible. Dates and Times Early Summer season dates and times are as follows: Wednesday 13th May (10:30-11:30 Juniors, 12-1 Seniors) Wednesday 10th June (10:30-11:30 Juniors, 12-1 Seniors) Ages and Abilities Sessions are designed to be active and accessible for a mix of ages and abilities with 2 separate sessions for younger or older children. The morning session will be aimed at slightly younger children aged approximately 5-8 or approximately key stage 1, nicknamed our Juniors, and the afternoon session will be aimed at the slightly older children aged approximately 9+ or approximately key stage 2, nicknamed our Seniors.
