About Ever dreamed of being an archaeologist? Now's your chance! Let's be archaeologists and examine the Roman remains at The Roman Baths. Dig for replica Roman artefacts in our special excavation trench and learn how to identify, record, and uncover hidden treasures—just like a real archaeologist. Archaeology Adventures is a special add-on to your visit to The Roman Baths. Please note: • You'll need both a Roman Baths admission ticket and a separate ticket for the Archaeology Adventure session. • To ensure you arrive at the Great Bath in time for your session, please book your museum entry at least one hour before your Archaeology Adventure begins. • Meet the Roman Baths Learning Team by the Great Bath at the start of your session. • After your Archaeology Adventure, you're welcome to re-enter the museum and continue exploring. • Recommended for children aged 6–12. All children must be accompanied by an adult. • Spaces are limited, so advance booking is strongly recommended to avoid disappointment. Festival of Archaeology at Prior Park

Prior Park takes part once again in the Festival of Archaeology, with walks and information on previous digs and projects. Information will be on display about previous digs in the Pasture, as will old finds from previous projects, including the dams project. On selected dates, a volunteer will be available to answer questions and discuss findings. You will be able to view a timeline of the last 33 years, since the National Trust acquired Prior Park, outlining its restoration and changes over the years. Walk the site and find interpretation on different areas of importance, such as the Bath House. There are also two pre-bookable guided walks with the lead archaeologist from previous digs, available to book on the walks' event page (22 & 28 July).

Summer of Play at Prior Park

Summer of Play returns to Prior Park with more fun and relaxed outdoor activities for the children to discover. Lawn games available in the Cabinet near the top of the garden, and by the Tea Cabin at the bottom of the garden. Find the play library by the Tea Cabin, perfect to pop in for a refreshing drink while your little ones explore the games on offer. Don't forget to use our bug spotting sheets and explorer backpacks, available to borrow from the main reception. This year the National Trust is partnering with Pokémon. Thanks to this partnership, children will be given a Pokémon sticker book. Add a sticker every time you visit a Summer of Play site.

Place flowers, leaves, or flat objects on pre-coated light sensitive paper, let the sun work its magic and rinse in water to reveal your blueprint. All materials are provided.
