Join us this summer for a fun-packed day out. In our orchard and the area around our wildlife garden you will find play equipment and lawn games for the whole family to enjoy. Why not pick up a spotter sheet too, and see how many different bees, butterflies and ladybirds you can spot during your visit? Take a leisurely walk to the viewpoint for views across Horsey Mere, or go on a longer walk to Horsey Gap where you can usually see grey seals, before returning to savour an ice cream in the shadow of the windpump. Adventures await!

Guided Tour with Alan Gray

Take a tour with Alan Gray, one of the owners of the gardens at East Ruston Old Vicarage. A guided tour is a great way to learn more about the history of the gardens and the plants on display. Guided tours include coffee on arrival and lunch served in our tea room. After lunch, guests are welcome to stay in the garden for the remainder of the day if they wish. Physical tickets for guided tours are processed and posted within 3–8 working days. Places are limited, so we advise booking well in advance to avoid disappointment and to allow for tickets to arrive on time by post. Step into the jungle and follow Mowgli on an unforgettable adventure as he navigates friendship, danger, and discovery in the wild, meeting Baloo the easy-going bear, Bagheera the wise panther, mischievous monkeys, a cunning snake, and the fearsome tiger Shere Khan along the way. Packed with original music, comedy, and lively audience interaction, this vibrant outdoor performance promises laughter, excitement, and heartwarming moments for the whole family, delivering a fast-paced, fun-filled theatrical experience that will have audiences of all ages howling with delight. Recommended age is 4+, and the running time is Act 1 – 45 minutes, interval, Act 2 – 40 minutes. The performance takes place on Saturday 25th July at 2:00pm in The Glade, and guests are advised to allow plenty of time to walk to the venue before the performance begins. In the event of high winds or storms, the performance will be relocated to the open meadow field for safety. Ticket prices are Adults £16.00, Children £10.00, and Family Ticket (2 adults and 2 children) £42.00, with no concession tickets available and no member discounts. Well-behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on leads at all times. Food and refreshments will be available on site.
