Join us for one night only at the Epstein Theatre, where we meet drag performer Jay in his dressing room as he prepares to take to the stage as Dierdra. Fresh off the back of a tour of bingo halls along the Pennine Way and a struggling caravan park in Cleethorpes, and nursing wounds from a recent divorce, Jay is ready to escape once more into Deirdra’s heels and frocks to entertain the masses. Featuring songs from the musicals and beyond, and guaranteed to be filled with glitz and glamour, why not DRAG yourself down to the Epstein! James Lacey stars as Dierdra/Jay for the fourth instalment of his Confessions series. Liverpool Fantasy Play The Beatles split up because of a dispute over their second single. ("Til There Was You" was chosen instead of "Please Please Me.") John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr returned to Liverpool while Paul McCartney launched a solo career and gained international fame as the crooner Paul Montana. Montana has resided in Las Vegas for the last 25 years. While on a tour of Britain in 1987, he decides to bury the hatchet and visit his former colleagues. Without the Beatles as catalysts there were far less social and political changes in the 60's. The Play deals with the question of parallel lives of displaced destinies. In this Play we deal with the consequences of one slip from the path of their principles. It could quite easily have happened and sent them all on parallel lives. That it didn’t is a tribute to this remarkable group of Individuals. But suppose it did…then LIVERPOOL FANTASY is one distinct possibility. Liverpool Fantasy first performed at the Charas Theatro La Terraza, New York City by Theatreworkers in May/June 1986 and subsequently at the Unity Theatre, Liverpool by A&P Productions in 2003: Liverpool Echo Review of Liverpool Fantasy 2003: I always thought that everything that could be written, staged or filmed about the Beatles had been done. But, urged on by friends to go and see Liverpool Fantasy at the Unity Theatre Liverpool, I discovered I was wrong.

TWO SHOW'S ONE EVENING! BOXING Boxing is a hilarious and moving show about community, hope and small joys. The story follows two characters: Father Garvey, a deeply miserable priest who as almost lost faith in the people he's meant to help and Michael, a troubled young man whose innocence and boundless energy could test anyone's patience. After Garvey takes revenge on his vile neighbour Beryl, it's up to Michael to get them both out of the sticky situation they find themselves in. What unfolds is a darkly comic and heartfelt exploration of connection, redemption and unexpected friendship. Originally staged as part of the Creative Corner Festival to a fantastic response, Boxing is back on the Epstein stage to light it up again. Karaoke is encouraged... CLOWNS Clowns is a hilarious new dark comedy for fans of Martin McDonagh, The Coen Brothers and for all those who wondered: what would a siege at a circus look like? Mittens is an old clown, not particularly funny, and particularly fed up. So fed up, in fact, that he decides to commit an armed burglary. It doesn't go well, and he ends up fleeing back to his travelling circus with the goods. Unlucky for him, two other clowns a young couple named Jessie and Bill are in the tent when he arrives. Unlucky for them, Mittens decides to tie them up. Then, the police arrive. Then, things get worse and worse. A new comedy full of twists and turns, clowns and cops though sometimes it's hard to tell who's who.
