What's on in Bescaby

Leicestershire, England

Village halls, community centres, and that one pub everyone knows about — Bescaby keeps its social calendar fuller than you'd expect, and here's the lot. From craft workshops and farmers' markets to quiz nights and coffee mornings, talks and screenings to book clubs and bingo. The events that make a place feel like home rather than just somewhere you happen to live. We've scoured parish council sites, library listings, venue pages, and community noticeboards to find everything happening near you. The stuff the big sites miss because they're too busy listing festivals fifty miles away.

Join us on Friday 24th April, in the Museum at 2pm, as Lee Steptoe explores the main events of World War I, explaining how new industrialised warfare, trench deadlock, and brutal battles such as the Somme and Verdun created a four-year stalemate that led to the deaths of over 10 million soldiers.
