The Book of Common Prayer (BCP) was written in the mid 1500s by the reformer Thomas Cranmer. It is widely considered to be one of the most important works of English literature ever written. It is still much loved due to the beauty of the traditional language and remains a significant source of doctrine for the Church of England. At the 8am you’ll find a peaceful, reflective space with no sung worship where we journey through silence, ancient liturgy (the words used to structure a worship gathering) and share the eucharist together.
10Everyone is welcome to join us, for vibrant worship and a thoughtful reflection based on the Bible readings for the day. Services take place every Sunday at 09.30am and are followed by refreshments and friendliness.
