Spend the day at Manor Orchard Farm and meet our 600+ rescued residents. Wander through the sanctuary at your own pace, say hello to the pigs, sheep, goats, cows, chickens and many more – each with their own story and personality. Our team will be around to introduce you to the animals and share a bit about who they are and how they came to be with us. What to expect This is a real working sanctuary, so come prepared for mud, uneven ground and plenty of animal encounters. Wear sturdy footwear and dress for the weather. You’re welcome to explore the grounds, find a quiet spot for a picnic, and take as many photos as you like. It’s a relaxed day – no set route or schedule. Practical bits Gates open at 10am, last entry around 3pm, closing at 3:30pm Bring your own food and drinks – we don’t have catering on site Dogs welcome if kept on leads Accessible routes available – get in touch if you have specific requirements Why visit? Every ticket helps us care for the animals who call this place home. It’s a lovely way to spend a few hours outdoors, and the kids (and adults) tend to leave with a favourite.

Children’s Art Morning at the Sanctuary

Treat your little one to a fun, creative morning at The Farm Animal Sanctuary this August. Local artist Penny Penny is running a series of art classes for children aged 6 and over, in the relaxed and friendly surroundings of the sanctuary, with our rescued animals never far away for a little inspiration. These hands-on sessions are all about having fun and getting creative. Whether your child is a confident little artist or just loves to make a happy mess, Penny will guide them through the morning at their own pace. All art materials are provided, so they simply need to turn up ready to enjoy themselves. To keep the classes calm, relaxed and personal, places are limited to 12 children per session, and they do tend to book up quickly. Each child also gets a drink and a doughnut or muffin to keep them going. It’s a lovely way to spend a summer morning, and every booking helps support the care of the more than 600 rescued animals who call the sanctuary home. Adult Art Class at the Sanctuary

Spend a relaxing, restorative Saturday morning being creative at The Farm Animal Sanctuary this August. Local artist Penny Penny is running a series of adult art classes in the peaceful surroundings of the sanctuary, with our rescued animals for gentle company and plenty of inspiration close at hand. Whether you’re an experienced painter or haven’t picked up a brush since school, these welcoming sessions are open to all abilities. Penny will guide you through the morning at a pace that suits you, so you can simply slow down, switch off and enjoy the creative escape. All art materials are provided, so there’s nothing to bring but yourself. You’ll also be looked after with tea, coffee or a cold drink and a doughnut or muffin along the way. Places are limited to 20 per class to keep things relaxed and unhurried, so early booking is recommended. And of course, every booking helps support the care of the more than 600 rescued animals who live here at the sanctuary.
