Discover the beliefs, superstitions and stories that shaped generations, alongside the realities behind accusations of black magic and the persecution of alleged witches. Historian David E. P. Dennis examines local traditions alongside the lives of figures including Aleister Crowley, Dion Fortune and Doreen Valiente, placing Sussex at the heart of Britain’s rich and often misunderstood occult heritage.
