Southampton Youth Orchestra: Rachmaninoff Symphony No. 2

Southampton Youth Orchestra join up with local professional musicians in their tour of Somerset and West Dorset. One of the most exciting young orchestras in the country, SYO’s recent performances include Scheherazade, Pictures at an Exhibition and Carmina Burana. Alongside Rachmaninoff‘s virtuosic Symphony No. 2, SYO will perform Sibelius’ majestic Finlandia and Mozart’s 3rd Horn Concerto.

For Holy Communion services the choir normally sings two hymns during communion, but occasionally sings an anthem instead of one of the hymns.
