What's on in Countess Wear

Devon, England

Countess Wear is a quiet spot in Devon where the river meets the sea, but don't let the calm waters fool you into thinking there's nothing to do. We've got local markets popping up by the coast and community groups meeting in halls that smell faintly of coffee and fresh bread. It's the sort of place where a sudden rain shower just adds to the charm rather than ruining your plans. Even if the venue list looks sparse, the town itself is the real event with its sandy beaches and winding lanes perfect for a walk. You'll find families gathering for outdoor festivals and neighbours chatting over tea at local cafes that have been standing there since before most of us were born. There's plenty to see without needing to book a ticket or scroll through a dozen apps.
