What's on in Bickleigh

Devon, England

Bickleigh sits quietly in Devon where the air smells of rain and damp earth rather than city smog. Without a list of venues to shout about, we rely on the local community halls and village greens that always seem to find a reason to host something. It is a place where neighbours know each other's names and the gossip travels faster than any news report. We gather round for a bit of tea and cake or head out for a wander when the weather permits. Even if there is no grand show on, the town itself provides plenty of interest with its history and the surrounding countryside. Just walk down the street and you will find someone has organised a gathering or a market that feels entirely local.
