Storm Tower Exhibition

To commemorate the history of the Storm Tower and the historic journey it has experienced, a dedicated exhibition has been installed at The Castle Heritage Centre. The exhibition features information on the Acland family, the history of the Storm Tower, the past and recent moves to preserve the tower, the community’s evolvement and a look at climate change which is the reason why the much loved landmark was moved and saved. This exhibition can be found on the ground floor of The Castle, just off the reception area, right of the main stairs, which is open from 10am every day offering free entry into our exhibitions and our galleries.

Bridget Winterbourne – Art to Inspire Open Gallery

I’m opening the studio doors to gallery from 22nd June to 4th July. At my house on Breakwater Road in Bude, one of the original Mariners cottages built in the early 19th century and is superbly positioned within 100 yards of Summerleaze Beach. It has outstanding views looking across the beach and out to sea.

BUDE ART SOCIETY was founded in 1963, with members drawn mainly from Bude and its hinterlands in Devon and Cornwall. The society strives to foster imagination and creativity. We hold monthly tutored workshops, half or full day, where West Country artists of repute are invited to demonstrate and mentor.
