Held at St Gluvias Church Community Hall (West Street, Penryn) every Thursday morning from 9am – 11am during term time. We provide a healthy snack for children, tea, coffee and cake for parents. Port Navas Regatta

The Regatta starts at 12 noon on Saturday with the first race, The School Cup between Constantine and Mawnan Primary Schools, kicking us off at 12.30. There will be a food van; PNYC Bar & Restaurant food; the traditional cake stall; a bar; young kids races such as Egg &. Spoon and Sack Racing; games in the field including Cocconut Shy, Splat the Rat etc and a new game, Donald Duck Shoot; a tombola; the normal Regatta Races including rowing, run-and-row, swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking; the chaotic but brilliant Fun Race; a grand raffle (donations of prizes most welcome); The Constantine Silver Band; and after the prize giving we will have live music and dodgy dancing and singing from the crowd as we welcome back Elvis Duane Presley, supported by Jake singing some banging hits.

Summer Sewing Get Together with Mary Vague

The Summer Get Together, hosted by Mary Vague is on Tuesday 28th July at the Stithians Centre from 10.00 am to 3.30 pm. The day includes a choice of hand or machine pattern, hot drinks and, of course, cake. The patterns both have a nautical theme, a Bargello quilt with applique and a hand stitched wall hanging. Coach Trip to Festival of Quilts -30th/31st July

Local sewing group, Karenza Quilters, invite you to join them on their coach trip to the Festival of Quilts on July 30th and 31st this year. The last trip to Malvern was fully booked so if you are interested please contact Lesley The price includes the return coach trip, with 3 pick up/drop off points in Cornwall – Penventon Hotel, Truro Coach Station & Cornwall Services overnight accommodation, evening meal and breakfast at a Premier Inn, two day visit to the Festival of Quilts at the NEC Birmingham including bus transfer to and from the hotel. This visit is organised by Kerenza Quilters If you are interested please contact Lesley with any enquiries and to book – We recommend getting in touch asap as their trip to Malvern is now fully booked. There is just a £50 deposit to pay to secure a place and the rest to be paid by June 14th. The cost is £184.50 if the coach is full but there may be additional contributions if there is space on the coach. Full details in the poster and from Lesley.
