Eric Johnson

One of the most outstanding instrumentalists in rock over the past 40 years, Texas guitarist Eric Johnson was already a legend before he recorded his first album. By the early 1980s, many celebrated guitarists were singing the praises of this skinny kid from Austin with the mind-melting chops. Comparisons were made to such guitar heroes as Jeff Beck and Jimi Hendrix and when he joined the ‘70s Austin fusion band Electromagnets they were being hailed as “the Mahavishnu Orchestra of Texas”. With the release of his highly-anticipated 1986 solo debut album Tones, the underground guitar legend finally emerged onto the scene fully-formed. It landed him on the cover of Guitar Player magazine, which hailed the album as a “majestic debut”, and earned him his first Grammy nomination for the song “Zap”. With the release of his follow up album, 1990’s platinum-selling Ah Via Musicom, which contained the Grammy Award winning song “Cliffs of Dover”, Eric Johnson became a bona fide international guitar phenomenon. The New Age Music Guide once opined that “Eric Johnson plays guitar the way Michelangelo painted ceilings: with a colorful vibrancy that’s more real than life” while Rolling Stone included him in their list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of the 21st century.

Marc Bolan and T.Rex, were one of the most flamboyant, charismatic stars of the original glam-rock era. With Bolan's special ingredient of Rock-a-Boogie songs, the band had a string of huge hits throughout the 1970s. T.Rextasy have performed around the world for over 20 years and the band is now accepted as the world’s only official live tribute band dedicated to T.Rex. They are the only band endorsed and approved by Marc Bolan’s family, estate, original ex-members of T.Rex, and Bolan’s catalogue management. The band has been described by many as ‘beyond the boundaries of tribute’.

Graham Parker Solo - Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the classic albums Howlin' Wind and Heat Treatment. Slinging his signature guitar and singing with inimitable soulful grit, Graham Parker has spent more than four decades carving out a singular place in rock and roll. A critics’ favorite and a songwriter’s songwriter, he emerged in the mid-1970s at a pivotal moment in British music. With his band The Rumour, Parker released a run of essential albums including Howlin’ Wind, Heat Treatment, and the undisputed classic Squeezing Out Sparks, records that fused literate songwriting with the raw energy that helped reshape rock in the late seventies. Throughout the following decades Parker continued to evolve, releasing acclaimed solo albums such as The Up Escalator, Another Grey Area, and The Mona Lisa’s Sister, blending British rock attitude with deep roots in American R&B, soul, and country traditions. Rolling Stone once observed that Parker “owed more to Dylan and Van Morrison than to his punk counterparts,” a lineage reflected in the emotional intelligence and biting wit that define his songwriting. April 2026 marks the 50th anniversary of Parker’s debut album Howlin’ Wind. To celebrate the milestone, writer Jay Nachman has authored a new book, Graham Parker: Howlin’ Wind, featuring extensive interviews with Parker, members of The Rumour, and producer Nick Lowe.
