Festival of Archaeology

Drop in to the Felin Puleston Outdoor Centre between 10am-3pm from the 23rd- 25th July, on the Errdig estate and learn more about the lost village and the history of the wider estate. Join in with our mini-dig as well as our leather bracelet making and tree ring painting activities, or learn about traditional land management techniques by helping to make a dead hedge! Booking is not needed and the activities are free to take part.

Creative nature walk - wonder, pause and draw

Take a guided walk through the beautiful Erddig estate and reconnect with nature through creativity. This gentle nature walk invites you to slow down, observe, and take inspiration from the landscape, with specially chosen stops along the route to pause, reflect, and draw what you see. Whether you’re an experienced artist or simply enjoy being creative, this is an opportunity to immerse yourself in nature, find inspiration, and get creative in a relaxed outdoor setting. Drawing materials will be supplied, or you can bring your own. Places are limited to 8 and are offered on a first come first serve basis on arrival at the Ticket Office. This event is free, but normal admission charges apply, free entry for National Trust members.

Summer of Play at Erddig

Step into the carnival and get active on our family-friendly garden trail this summer. Test your skills at the coconut shy, try your hand at hooking a duck, and enjoy storytelling in our mini puppet theatre. You can also have a go at skittles, ring toss, pin the tail on the donkey, or limber up for the limbo. Alongside the carnival trail, there are plenty of creative activities to enjoy: Doodle Mondays on Mondays, 10am–5pm - a self-led activity where you can add your own creation to our wall of art; carnival mask-making every Wednesday, 11am–3pm and Fine Art Fridays every Friday, 11am-3pm 18 July, 1 August, 15 August, 11am-3pm: Face painting 18 August: Enjoy performances from Punch and Judy. There are three 20 minute performances between 1pm and 3pm. Activities are free to enjoy but normal admission charges apply, National Trust members enter for free.
