Tibetan Singing Bowls with Joan Filla

Feeling stressed out lately? Come ease your body & mind listening to the meditative Tibetan Singing Bowls. Event is limited to 40 people. Please come early enough to get your yoga mat or blanket set up, go to the bathroom etc to be ready for the session at 1:00 PM . Tibetan singing bowls produce sounds that invite deep relaxation, enhance meditation, and open expanded states of consciousness. The sounds and vibrations create grounding, facilitate a connection to your deepest self, and open the door to powerful healing. This is an opportunity for exploration and renewal through ageless bell sounds. Please wear comfortable clothing; you can sit or lie on the floor. Bring a yoga mat, pillow, blanket, or anything for comfort. Chairs are also available. The session will conclude with time for questions, a demonstration, and hands-on experience with the bowls. ————————————Joan Filla is a physician who was introduced to Tibetan singing bowls while recovering from long standing trauma. Singing bowls and meditation became an integral part of her journey and she hopes to share these powerful tools with others.

This workshop will introduce beginners and intermediate participants to the technique of Multiple Color Reduction Linoleum block printing, allowing the printing of additional colors while learning advanced registration skills to create sharp, crisp images. Performance at 7:00pm Dan Newton’s Café Accordion Orchestra (CAO) performs an eclectic mix full of French flare, Latin heat and Bohemian attitude. The heart of the CAO repertoire is the romantic, Parisian valse-musette. The group complements the musettes with Parisian hot club, swing, ballads, tangos, cha chas, rumbas, and cumbias to create a wonderfully varied show. They inject their music with good humor and expressive abandon. Their high level of musicianship and passion for performance makes them an entertaining concert act as well as a great dance band. CAO is led by Dan Newton on accordion and vocals, with Eric Mohring on mandolin, violin and vocals, Mike Cramer on guitar and vocals, Erik Lillestol on bass and vocals and Joe Steinger on percussion. CAO has been delighting audiences and dancers alike since 1995.
