Swallowfield is a quiet Berkshire village that punches well above its weight for live music on a Tuesday night. The Crown has been playing hosts to local bands and acoustic sessions for years without ever needing a hype machine. It's proper good times in a place where the only rush hour traffic is usually you rushing home with a full glass. Pub quizzes pop up through the week and the odd open mic night keeps things interesting down this way. Our 9am morning meeting runs from 9-10:30am with tea and coffee served afterwards. There are groups for children aged 0-18 to attend. Meetings include a time of worship led by a band and a message based on a passage from the bible. Normally there are opportunities for you to be prayed for. We meet at: Hartland High School 125 Hartland Road Reading RG2 8AF Limited onsite parking is available for families with small children and those with mobility challenges. Free parking available on neighbouring streets.

An informal “café style” service. Every Sunday (except the first Sunday of the month). Held in the church centre, this is a short, informal, interactive, and intergenerational service. Grab coffee/juice and breakfast from 9.15. Little ones, their exuberance and noise are welcome. Baby change/toilet right next to the hall! On the first Sunday of the month, normally there is a family-friendly short communion service in the church. Occasionally, if a clergy person is not available to give communion, the first Sunday 9.30am will be a Cafe Church service in church centre. Don’t worry too much, the church and church centre are next door to each other, so you can always turn up and ask a volunteer. #FamilyFriendly

Rainbows is our midweek toddler group which is open to parents with babies and pre-school children. A community of parents (and grandparents) with babies and toddlers who meet on Thursday mornings from 10–11:30am during term time at The Storehouse, RG2 0RX or Monday afternoons from 1-2:30pm during term time at The Storehouse, RG2 0RX. Each session includes play, story time and singing. It's a great place to make new friends and share experiences of being a parent of little ones. Do pop in one morning and come and see us!
