Aims and Objectives of the Group: To encourage and expand knowledge and interest in science and technology by talks and discussions given by members of the group and speakers from other organisations/businesses. Visits to places of interest are also arranged Any Expertise Needed: None, just an interest Equipment needed: None Max number permitted in the group: 30 Currently there are vacancies. Periodic membership subscription to cover hall rental. A Brief description of a Typical Meeting: We have a programme of talks/presentations on a wide variety of science or technology subjects given either by a member of the group or by an invited outside speaker. This is usually followed by questions and discussion. Alternatively we may watch a video borrowed from the U3A Resource Centre and occasional group outings are arranged.

Youth Drop In

General drop in the evenings provide a safe and fun space for young people in Luton. We offer a range of activities including; pool, gaming consoles, table tennis, wall climbing sessions, open mic night, cooking sessions, IT suite for use, film nights and art/craft activities. All sessions are run by experienced youth workers and volunteers who support and participate in all activities with the young people. Youth Drop In sessions run every Wednesday 5pm – 7pm and Saturdays 1pm – 4pm We also offer additional activities during sessions where we have outside agencies join us for mini workshops raising awareness and harm reduction information including drug and alcohol workers; Coppafeel (breast cancer awareness for young people); white ribbon campaign (Domestic Abuse); wellbeing sessions and Hate Crime awareness to name a few.

Limbury sits quietly in Bedfordshire with a charm that doesn't need to shout to be heard.
