Another chance to visit this newly opened reserve run by the Greensand Trust. Parking charges in support of the Greensand Trust will apply. This is an additional joint meeting with the Bird Club and BNHS and you can find information about the site below. Book Launch: Ainkaran Sivaaji's 'The Fire Walker'

Join author Ainkaran Sivaaji for an evening at The Eagle Bookshop to celebrate the publication of his first children's picture book, The Fire Walker . Ainkaran will provide a reading of the work, explore the history behind the Tamil traditions of fire walking in Sri Lanka, and share his wider performing arts journey. There will also be the opportunity for a live question and answer session with the audience. The evening will conclude with a book signing, with some copies of the book available to purchase from The Eagle Bookshop on the night. Saving The Stone-curlew

Keith Betton has been involved in monitoring these wonderful birds in Hampshire for over 15 years. He will explain how they live and how they can often run into trouble if they choose to nest on farms that are not aware of their presence. Keith and his colleagues work closely with the local farmers to maximise the birds’ chances and report into the RSPB Wessex Stone-curlew Project.
