About this event
THE SHAMROCK AND THE CROSS: SPECTATORS UNDER HEAVEN. The Irish poet John W Sexton’s phrase ‘spectators under heaven’ has inspired Michael Daviot, Claire McDonald and Janet de Vigne to present a wide-ranging selection of Irish poetry, drawing on both ancient and modern expressions of faith and spirituality. The intimacy of Canonmills Church — Robert Louis Stevenson’s schoolroom in times past — provides the perfect space for poetic reflection on religious themes.
