Embrace the festive season with this joyful half-day willow weaving workshop led by willow artist Chaz Friend. You’ll learn how to create two classic seasonal pieces — a charming willow reindeer and a stylised Christmas tree — using simple but effective techniques suitable for complete beginners. Once you’ve learned the basics of each item, you’ll be free to spend the rest of the session working on the piece you most enjoy, whether that’s perfecting your reindeer or creating a small collection of trees. This relaxed and creative workshop is a wonderful way to explore willow weaving while making natural decorations to treasure year after year. The course takes place in the Heritage Craft Barn at Stanwick Lakes, a 750-acre protected Nature Reserve and Wetland of International Importance managed by Rockingham Forest Trust as an environmental charity.
