In the centenary year of the General Strike, and on the anniversary of the Cartwright & Sheldon handloom weavers’ strike, join us to explore the struggles and social conditions of the mill workers of Macclesfield. Alongside a tour of historic Paradise Mill which celebrates the skill and dignity of the workforce, expect words from Dickens, Mrs Gaskell and others and encounter mill characters from the past.
