Stacking Rings/Pendant Workshop (BG11W6YHa) On this three-hour course, you’ll be gently guided through all the techniques to enable you to make three different style stacking rings, or a pendant from a selection of five styles. Keum-Boo Pendant / Earrings Workshop – Adding gold to fine silver (BF04X4YHa) On this 3.5 hour course you will be guided through the ancient Korean technique of Keum-boo to create a design of your choice. Learn how to make a beautiful textured pendant or pair of earrings in fine silver and add a striking detail of 24ct gold. You will: Test applying textures on metal using papers and fabrics in a rolling mill and a range of hammers Design your pendant or earrings Cut the gold Keum-boo foil to the desired shape using paper cutting stamps, scissors or craft knife Apply gold foil onto your fine silver sheet using heat and pressure Roll or hammer your texture Cut sheet metal using disc cutters, shaped cutters, piercing saw or shears File and sand shape to refine design Burnish edges Add fittings and findings to complete design Materials: Included in the course fee Tutor: Beccy Level: Perfect for total beginners as well as those with some experience Please read the cancellation policy before booking You can view all of our other courses here. Form, pierce, texture, file and polish a leaf design of your choice. In this engaging jewellery making workshop, you’ll learn how to create your own beautiful fold formed leaf from start to finish. You will incorporate striking textured elements to make your piece uniquely yours. Under expert guidance you’ll discover traditional metalworking techniques whilst crafting a silver or copper leaf you’ll be proud to wear or gift. This session is perfectly suited for complete beginners – no jewellery making experience needed. The relaxed, supportive environment allows you to explore learning at a comfortable pace, with expert demonstration and assistance at every step. During this hands on session, you’ll master essential silversmithing skills including: Fold forming to create organic shapes Forging to create texture and form to sheet metal Saw piercing to cut out your leaf shape Safe and effective soldering methods Finishing and polishing You’ll leave the session with your own handcrafted leaf. You’ll also have foundational knowledge to continue exploring jewellery making. Fidget Rings (BG25W6YHa) During this 2.5 hour silver fidget rings jewellery workshop you will be guided through all the techniques to make a set of 2 pretty fidget rings. You will learn how to: Measure ring size accurately Cut wire lengths with shears and file the ends square Form wires to create round rings Add up to 3 fidget components to each ring Set up rings for soldering Solder the ends of the wires together using a handheld soldering torch, flux and solder Polish your work Materials: Silver for 2 x 1.5mm rings with 3 fidget components each are included in the course fee plus 1 gold filled fidget bead.
