About this event
We are honoured to be supporting Councillor Robert Bettley-Smith and his chosen charity, Papyrus. Papyrus works to prevent suicide amongst the young. Suicide is the main cause of death in people under the age of 35 in the UK. Every year more than 1,800 young people take their own lives. Papyrus provides confidential support and advice through their helpline HOPELINE247 – call , text 88247 or e-mail Lines are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In support of this wonderful cause, we’ll be running steam trains and operating “drive-a-loco”, with all donations from that going exclusively to Papyrus.
