Follow the crumbs.......... Shirley has been busy. Croissants have gone missing from the bakery. She left crumbs behind. Your job? Follow the crumb trail, find the missing croissants, claim your prize! The event is of all ages. Groups of friends and even doggos. The event can take as little as 2 hours or as long as 6, if you want to not rush and make a day of it. Visit Be More Shirley bakery to enter – register by Wednesday 8 July. When the treasure hunt is completed the team members will be eligible for a cookie each and entered into a raffle for a grand prize. Price The event costs £5 to enter a team. A team can be up to 6 people. MHSG is excited to be teaming up with the trailblazing community horticulturalists at Wolves Lane Centre in Wood Green, to offer a packed, free programme of tours and talks focused on: community growing a fairer, healthier, more sustainable food future the restoration of urban wetlands and increasingly vital Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) This fascinating 4-hour event will include: a guided tour of the 3.5 acre site by director Yvonne Field OBE an optional fresh, vegan lunch (£8 to £10 extra) expert talks from: Paulette Henry, co-founder of Ubele Initiative and their Black Rootz project (the UK’s first multigenerational Black-led growing project) Nick Oliver from WWT’s London Wetland’s Centre and an expert on SuDS, who will be discussing their work restoring these vital resources for carbon storage, biodiversity, natural habitat and flooding and pollution control Book your free tickets and find out more here and join us for a day of celebrating both SOUL and SOIL!
