About this event
Screen printing is a vibrant, flexible medium beloved of artists and craftspeople, in which the print is created by pressing ink through a mesh screen with the image created by a stencil design to resist the ink. This course will introduce you to the basic equipment, materials and methods of this medium. Screen printing can be adapted to your own style and during this workshop you will be printing onto paper but the technique can be use to print onto many surfaces including fabric. You will learn: - How to use a screen and squeegee. - To design and apply stencils. - To mix water based screen printing inks. - How to register successive prints and two colour prints. Please note there is a £5 material charge payable on the day. Click on the title below to find a list of what you'll need to bring with you if anything.
